Pedrali for “Landscape Festival – I Maestri del Paesaggio”
17 Jul, 2026
The partnership with the event celebrating the harmonious integration of nature and the city is renewed for the 12th year
For the twelfth year, Pedrali is partnering with “Landscape Festival - I Maestri del Paesaggio”, the event that, from 4 to 20 September 2026, transforms Bergamo into an open-air workshop exploring the future of cities and landscapes. The festival — now in its sixteenth edition — brings to the city the world’s leading landscape designers and some of the most compelling expressions of international landscaping.
The central theme of the 2026 edition, “New Renaissance”, invites visitors to rethink landscape as a cultural project capable of fostering dialogue between different forms of knowledge, disciplines and expertise.
Leading the design of this year’s Green Square project in Piazza Vecchia is Cristina Mazzucchelli, with a project entitled “Così è se vi appare” (“It is so, if it appears so to you”), which transforms the heart of Bergamo Alta into a space for reflecting on contemporary public space, creating a dialogue between historical heritage, nature and everyday life. The installation introduces reflective elements that create a continuous interplay between plants and architecture.
On the occasion of the event, Landscape Festival has also developed a coordinated design for the furniture used in the square. Pedrali outdoor products were chosen for the dehors overlooking Piazza Vecchia. The collections of the 100% Made in Italy manufacturer help enhance the outdoor spaces of the main businesses surrounding the square, creating welcoming environments in harmony with the historic setting.
Featured in the installation are Libre monoblock polypropylene side chairs by Eugeni Quitllet, together with Philía and Philía Mesh collections by Odo Fioravanti, which reinterpret the language of traditional Italian garden chairs in a contemporary way.
The spaces are completed by Souvenir monoblock polypropylene side chairs, presented here in their ReMade in Italy-certified version, made of 60% recycled polypropylene from post-industrial waste, and by Remind side chairs by Eugeni Quitllet, characterised by a breathable texture.
Also featured here are Coney armchairs and Tribeca side chairs, both designed by Mandelli Pagliarulo. Coney combines functionality, comfort and a highly graphical visual impact, while Tribeca offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic Sixties patio chairs. The chairs are all paired with Inox tables in a matching colour, ensuring perfect colour continuity.
At the Antico Lavatoio in Città Alta, Pedrali contributes to the installation designed by Katuscia Ratto, entitled “URBAN HAVEN # RIFUGIO URBANO”. The project portrays the Antico Lavatoio as a place offering a retreat from the rhythm of everyday life: a space where visitors can slow down, connect and simply feel at ease. A quiet and contemplative atmosphere is created by Nolita Sofa and Nolita Relax lounge armchairs by Mandelli Pagliarulo, which maintain the lines of the entire collection, while evoking the origins of a historic course started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with his first metal garden chairs. The setting also showcases Philía Mesh armchairs by Odo Fioravanti, with seats and backrests in expanded metal, and Coney barstools by Mandelli Pagliarulo, characterised by a highly graphical visual impact. Completing the scene are Estratto coffee tables by Formafantasma, Caementum single-piece concrete tables by Marco Merendi & Diego Vencato, Ypsilon high tables by Jorge Pensi Design Studio and Laja tables by Alessandro Busana.
Illuminating the space are Filicudi rechargeable table lamps by Andrea Pedrali.
